Prison for Mansfield pervert who plied 14-year-old girl with beer before sexually assaulting her
A ‘dangerous’ Mansfield pervert who plied a 14-year-old girl with alcohol before sexually assaulting her has been jailed.
Ricky Hames was told how old his victim was before buying beer for her and her friends and showing one of them a picture of his penis, said David Webster, prosecuting.
His victim was drunk and upset when Hames got her alone in some bushes and pushed his hand down her trousers and underwear.
She asked him to stop and he left her screaming for help. The police were informed and he was arrested just before midnight on July 28 last year.

Nottingham Crown Court heard the girl has been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and is seeing a clinical psychologist.
She doesn't like leaving the house and suffers physical symptoms like stomach aches and nausea when thinking about her ordeal.
“She will have this with her for the rest of her life,” her mum said in a statement.
Hames, 44, of Titchfield Street, Mansfield, only pleaded guilty once scientific evidence was presented to the court, and after a trial date had been set, on November 18.

The court heard he was sentenced to five years in a Young Offenders Institute for indecently assaulting a woman in November 2001.
And he was jailed for 90 months, with an extended licence period of four years, for attempted rape in 2013. In both cases his female victims were incapacitated by alcohol.
Laura Hocknell, mitigating, said Hames deserved some credit for his plea and accepted his previous convictions would be a concern.
"He has already been found dangerous before,” she said. "It wasn't premeditated. He came across the group, saw an opportunity and took it. There have been significant gaps between his substantive sexual offending.”
“It was entirely clear to you she was underage,” Recorder Penelope Stanistreet-Keen told him on Friday. “When you got her on her own you took your chance.”
Classifying him as “dangerous”, she noted Hames’ “dysfunctional view of sex,” his “negative view of women” and the ongoing risk he poses to other girls and women.
Imposing an extended sentence she told him he will serve at least two thirds of the 77 month sentence in custody before he is eligible for parole and four years on licence after his release.
