Prison for Mansfield burglar who targetted the same clinic twice in one day
A Mansfield burglar who targetted the same pregnancy clinic twice in one day also beat a man unconscious while trying to escape from another break-in.
Danny Wright left a handprint on the wall and blood on the reception desk at Scan Baby, on Westgate in Mansfield, on March 16, last year, said Eunice Gedzah, prosecuting.
He smashed the till open, stole £60 in cash, and created a large hole in the server room ceiling.
The company director checked the CCTV at 10pm the same day and called the police after Wright returned to steal a small money box containing £30 from a filing cabinet.

Blood traces matched his DNA and he gave no comment when arrested.
Ms Gedzah said Wright was disturbed looking under a mattress in a first floor bedroom after breaking into a house on Wingfield Road, Alfreton, on September 5 last year.
The occupant restrained him and Wright hit him in the face wbefore picking up a crowbar and a screwdriver and fleeing.
Wright's victim, who was knocked unconscious for five to ten seconds, also sustained an injury to his right eye and suffered from blurred vision.

Nottingham Crown Court heard he also stole a total of £1,394 of goods in a series of supermarket thefts.
Ellesse Taylor, mitigating, said Wright didn't intend to cause any injury and recognises he faces custody.
"He has taken responsibility for his offending," she said. "The offences were an attempt to pay off a drug debt. The panic set in when he was confronted by the man and he flailed his arms around."
She said Wright is a textbook example of someone stealing to feed his "intense drug and alcohol misuse" which had snowballed out of control, she said.
"Custody has allowed him to detox from drugs. "As he says, "I am putting on weight and looking forward to a cookery class." His methadone script has now ended. He assures me he is motivated to concentrate on an offence-free lifestyle."
Wright, aged 28, of no fixed address, admitted two counts of burglary, one attempted burglary, and ten counts of shop theft at previous hearings.
On Friday Judge Michael Auty KC sentenced him to 30 months in prison.
