‘Predator’ costume and flatcap stolen in series of bizarre burglaries

Police are appealing for information following a series of bizarre break-ins, which included a ‘Predator’ fancy dress costume and a flat cap being stolen.

Between 23rd and 25th September, break-ins were reported to police around the area including five vehicles across two streets.

Two were reported on East Street, Warsop, overnight between 23rd and 24th September in which the fancy-dress costume was nabbed from a vehicle, while a satnav system was taken from a Ford Transit.

On the same night, on North Street, a Nissan pickup was targeted and a chainsaw was taken, the rear window of a car was broken and a grey and purple flatcap was snatched, and TomTom satnav was stolen from another vehicle in which the side window was smashed.

Thieves also targeted property on Baums Lane and Bradforth Avenue in Mansfield, and Day Street in Warsop, overnight between 24th and 25th September.

They got away with lead flashing from a roof, while a vehicle trailer worth £500, and a kagoul with Bassetlaw District Council logo printed on it.
