Police warning to Mansfield residents after burglary

Police are warning residents in the Mansfield area to be vigilant after a burglary in the early hours of this morning.

Mansfield Police said on Facebook: "During the early hours of this morning (20/11/2018) a burglary took place in Berry Hill whereby intruder/s gained access to a house by smashing the lock on the back door allowing access to the property.

"The offender/s were interrupted and made off. Police arrived shortly after but there was no trace of the person/s in the area.

"Although instances like this are very rare we urge members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to us by either calling us on 101 or 999 if there is a crime in progress."
