Police urge couple who witnessed Sutton street robbery to come forward

Police want to speak to a couple who shouted at a robber just moments after he had pulled a man to the ground and took money from his wallet on a Sutton street.

Officers say the robbery happened at the junction of Outram Street and Northern Bridge Road on March 29.

Now police are urging a driver and a passenger who shouted at the offender to come forward.

Det Sgt Gary Hewson said: "Allegedly a couple stopped in a car and shouted at the offender to stop, who ran off, close to the Asda supermarket.
