Police to patrol Nottinghamshire schools following concerns over social media trend encouraging pupil violence

Police are set to patrol schools across Nottinghamshire following reports of social media posts circulating linked to a national trend encouraging violence among pupils.

Posts on TikTok, among others, list schools and dates where suggested fights take place and police say they have been made aware of references to Nottinghamshire schools.

Other posts have promoted a points system based on harm done to others urging.

A police spokesman said: “While we are continuing to closely monitor the situation and are taking this matter incredibly seriously, at this time we have not received any reported incidents of violence involving children in the city or county which are linked to this trend.
