The ‘Ashfield Police: Kirkby in Ashfield, Sutton in Ashfield and area’ Facebook page reported that officers from Sutton NPT seized two vehicles on Tuesday.

The first was taken off the road due to having no tax and the second was taken after it was found to be driven with no insurance.

On the same day, some hours later still in Huthwaite, officers from the Sutton Neighbourhood Policing Team again reported on Facebook a “near miss with a vehicle.”

After stopping the vehicle a driver was found to be disqualified. He was subsequently arrested after failing a roadside drug test, testing positive for cannabis, on Main Street, Huthwaite. The vehicle was seized and the driver was later taken to Mansfield Police Station
