Both properties had become persistent hubs for serious drug misuse, drug dealing, and ongoing anti‑social behaviour, causing significant nuisance, distress and disorder to residents living nearby.

A spokesman said: “These issues had a real and detrimental impact on the local community, and extensive work has been carried out alongside partner agencies to try to resolve matters.”

One of the addresses had previously been subject to a Partial Closure Order but after problems persisted a Full Closure Order was deemed the only option available to protect the wider community.

These latest orders represent the ninth and 10th Closure Order secured by the Ladybrook Team, as part of a continued mission to improve quality of life and community safety across the area.

A police spokesman added: “We’re also keen to address a common misconception around closure orders. There is often an assumption that they simply “move the problem elsewhere”. Our experience shows this is not the case. Previous closures in the area have made a significant and lasting positive difference, reducing crime and anti‑social behaviour in hotspot locations.

"Importantly, many former residents have been given the opportunity to reset their lives, with the vast majority engaging positively with support services and ceasing to cause further issues elsewhere.

“Closure Orders are never taken lightly. They are used only when all other options have been exhausted and when they are necessary to safeguard communities. We remain committed to working with residents, landlords, and partner agencies to prevent problems before they reach this stage, while taking robust action when required.”
