Police from the Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit had previously recovered another car from the motorist before Christmas last year, as the driver was found to not have a complete licence or car insurance.

But in a message posted to Twitter, officers said one of their ‘best customers’ had been found repeating the same offences, while driving a Ford in Shirebrook in the early hours on February 28.

The vehicle was then seized by police.

One person replied: “Good stop chaps! And thank you. I don't understand how such drivers are able (and therefore 'allowed') to repeat such offences, and put the safety, security and (possibly lives) at risk.”

While another user wrote: “It’s always nice when the same customers keep coming back.”
