Police search with dogs and drones triggered after Ashfield drink drive
A police search with dogs and drones was triggered when a suspected drink driver fled the scene after flipping his car into a ditch near Underwood, a court has heard.
Jordan Carvlin lost control and rolled his car onto its side on Wilhallow Lane at 7pm, on October 16, said Lynn Bickley, prosecuting.
Members of the public assisted with the road closure and a description was given.
Police dogs and drones were used in the search but no one was found in the vicinity.

A phone was retrieved from the vehicle and officers spoke to Carvlin's stepfather.
He informed them the defendant had returned home at 8.30pm, and drove him back to the crash site.
A breath test, conducted at 10pm that evening, revealed Carvlin had 41 microgrammes of alcohol when the legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
He admitted having a drink after work and said he had been dazzled by the beams of an oncoming vehicle and drove off the road.
The court heard Carvlin, of previous good character, rang his mother before walking back to her home.
He deserves full credit for cooperating with officers and for his prompt guilty plea.
Carvlin, aged 26, of West End, Alfreton, admitted driving with excess alcohol when he appeared at Mansfield Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
He was fined £565 with a £226 surcharge and £85 court costs. He was disqualified from driving for 14 months but a rehabilitation course could reduce the ban by 25 per cent if he completes it successfully.
