Police release image of man as part of Ashfield bike theft probe

Police investigating a report of a stolen bike have released an image of a man they would like to speak to.

The incident is believed to have taken place outside Skegby Mini Market on Forest Road, Sutton, at around 3.30pm on January 31.

Officers say a bike was reported to have been stolen from outside the premises after a lock was cut through by a suspect.

Now police have released an image of a man they believe may have information.

Investigator Amber Hare, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Bike theft is totally unacceptable and we will always look to take action against offenders.

“We would like to speak to the man pictured as part of our investigation into the incident in Sutton-in-Ashfield.

“Anyone who may have witnessed the incident at the time or recognises the man should get in touch as soon as possible.”
