Police are still appealing for witnesses to come forward eight days after a man was found injured with puncture wounds in a Forest Town street.

There have been no arrests since the man was found in Garibaldi Road, on Monday 12th May.

There are rumours circulating on social media that the man was stabbed.

The 28-year-old was discovered at around 1am near Garibaldi School.

“I am appealing to anyone who may have information that could help our investigation to call us.

“Were you walking or driving in the area between midnight and 1am yesterday? Did you see this man or do have any information about how he sustained his injuries? If so, pick up the phone.”

The man is white and was wearing a blue Ralph Lauren polo shirt, blue jeans and white trainers.

If you saw him or have any information contact police on 101, quoting incident 39 of 12 May 2104, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
