Police officer assaulted while breaking up gathering in Notts

A police officer was assaulted as they attempted to break up a gathering in Sutton.

The incident happened at about 6.40pm yesterday, April 8, in Brand Lane.

A 31-year-old woman and 28-year-old man are due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on June 4.

They are charged with assaulting an emergency worker.

The pair have been released on bail until their court appearance.

Under government guidelines to combat the spread of coronavirus, non-essential visits to other people’s homes are strongly advised against.
