Police in Mansfield appeal to drivers who witnessed serious A617 crash

Police are appealing for information from any drivers who they believe witnessed a serious road traffic collision in Mansfield.

Two women sustained serious injuries after their vehicles collided head-on on the A617 at around 8.20am on Saturday, December 28.

A third vehicle was also damaged in the crash, which took place between the junctions of the A60 and the A6117, near to the new estate at Berry Hill, Mansfield.

Officers are particularly keen to trace any drivers who believe they may have witnessed what happened.

PC Vicki Wetton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a really serious collision in which people sustained severe injuries. We have now spoken to all the witnesses who came forward immediately after the incident, but we believe others who saw what happened have yet to come forward. We are very keen to speak to them.”
