Police make drugs arrests during 'busy shift' in Mansfield

Officers from the Mansfield Operation Reacher team made three arrests in the town – two for the possession of heroin.

The first arrest took place after an eagle-eyed member of the public spotted a drug deal at Carr Bank Park.

Police located a male with heroin and he was arrested and dealt with at Mansfield Police Station.

Later, a suspicious vehicle was spotted and the driver was also found with the drug. He was also arrested.

Then a man was caught driving a Ford Connect van with no insurance, which was seized and the driver reported.

Since the expansion of Operation Reacher in October 2020, the Mansfield team has made 135 arrests, 52 drug seizures and seized more than £4,000 in cash and 17 weapons.
