Police issue warning after recent spate of burglaries in Eastwood
Police officers in Eastwood have issued a warning to residents following a series of recent burglaries.
Over the past month, 21 burglaries have been recorded in Eastwood, where offenders have forced entry to properties.
Officers are now warning residents to ensure doors, windows, and gates are locked, and to remain alert to any suspicious activity.
Inspector Usha Madaraa, district commander for Broxtowe, said: “Burglary is a horribly invasive crime that leaves people feeling unsafe and insecure in their own homes.

"As we work to catch the individuals responsible for these offences, we hope residents will take heed of these warnings and take appropriate steps to ensure their homes and possessions are as secure as possible.”
