Police hunt Blidworth vandals

Police are hunting vandals who damaged fencing at a children’s play area in Blidworth.

Wooden fence posts and a gate were pulled out the ground and smashed up at the park at Marriott Lane between Thursday 18th and Tuesday 23rd August.

Pc Ian Appleby, of the Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “This was an act of mindless vandalism which will prevent people from using the park’s facilities and cost the council a significant amount of money to repair.

“Someone in our community is likely to know who has done this; they may have seen the vandals carrying out this damage. I would appeal to anyone with information to contact us.”
