Police carry out day of action in Mansfield to crackdown on illegal off road vehicles

On Sunday (May 17) patrols were conducted in hot spot areas including Warsop, Meden Vale, Forest Town and the Desert, this is following numerous public complaints in relation to anti social behaviour, careless driving and destruction of agricultural land.

A number of resources were utilised, this included Police Off Road Motorcycles, Quad, Toyota Hilux 4x4, and Polaris ATV, as a result a number of illegal vehicles were seized as well as Section 59 warnings issued.

A police spokesman said: “As a team we take community concerns seriously and will continue conducting patrols of this nature over the coming months, if you have any information in relation to the illegal use of off road vehicles you can get in touch via 101, the Nottinghamshire Police Website and Crimestoppers.”
