A police car has ended up in the river in Mansfield after colliding with another car.

The incident occurred on Weighbridge Road at around 10.25am as the police were on their way to a routine enquiry.

Nottinghamshire police said the member of the public was not injured, but a police officer has gone to King's Mill Hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be serious.
