Police are appealing for witnesses to a Mansfield car crash which left two women with ‘severe injuries’.

During the head-on collision involving three cars at Berry Hill in December last year police say two female drivers were seriously injured.

A third vehicle was also damaged in the crash – which took place on the A617 between the junctions of the A60 and the A6117 near to the new estate at Berry Hill.

Police say investigations into the incident are ongoing nd they believe others who saw what happened on December 28 at around 8.20am have yet to come forward.

PC Vicki Wetton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a really serious collision in which people sustained severe injuries.

“We have now spoken to all the witnesses who came forward immediately after the incident but we believe others who saw what happened have yet to come forward.

“We believe that several drivers may have seen what happened and we are very keen to speak to them.

“I realise that December 28th was a long time ago but I’d appreciate anyone coming forward with any information they deem relevant.”
