There have been a range of incidents for officers to contend with, from no insurance to nuisance bikers and repeat offenders.
These are some of the crimes recently tackled by officers as they work to keep our roads safe.
5. Another uninsured driver
On Wednesday, June 1, the Bolsover SNT posted: “On our travels in Whitwell we have come across this vehicle with no insurance! Driver reported and vehicle seized!” Photo: Bolsover SNT
6. Potential drug dealers
On Tuesday, May 31, the Bolsover SNT posted: “A few weeks back a bike was spotted by officers whilst on patrol. The bike was being ridden in a reckless and dangerous manner and without displaying numberplates. The bike was stopped and the rider ran away from the scene, the vehicle it was meeting with also left and checks on that vehicle showed it to be on cloned number plates. It is suspected that their meeting was to facilitate the exchange of drugs. Enquiries are ongoing into the people involved. The bike was sent for auction as unsurprisingly the rider never came forward to collect the bike. This does show that on this occasion crime does not pay.” Photo: Bolsover SNT
