Notts police deliver treats to vulnerable kids

The positive engagement scheme is a police led initiative where officers engage and support young people between the ages of 10 – 18 who are either vulnerable, socially excluded or involved in crime.
Youth Outreach Worker Romel Davis said: "Whilst there are so many young people and their families at home during the Coronavirus outbreak, we thought it would be fitting to deliver the treats as well as use the opportunity to check in on some of our most vulnerable children during these difficult times.

Councillor Rebecca Langton, Portfolio Holder for Communities at Nottingham City Council, said: “We were delighted to get involved in this partnership between the Council’s Community Protection teams, the police, Nottingham Forest, community and faith groups and local volunteers.”

Hide AdThe areas the force will be visiting is Sherwood, Ilkeston, Carrington, Stapleford, Clifton, St Anns, Arboretum, Aspley, Kirkby In Ashfield, Beeston, Newark, Wollaton, Mansfield Woodhouse, New and Old Basford, Bestwood, Broxtowe, Calverton, The Meadows, Arnold, Lenton, Worksop, Chilwell, Bulwell, Worksop, Carlton In Lindrick, Hucknall, Huthwaite, Bilborough, Woodthorpe, Wilford, Edwinstowe, Rise Park and Mansfield.
