Gary Stephen Kitchener had previously denied the assault on the woman, believed to be his former partner, on April 20 this year, but changed his plea to guilty when he appeared before Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on June 29.

Court records state that Kitchener, 39, of Rugby Road, Rainworth, was jailed for a total of 24 weeks because he had a long history of assaulting the woman and “there were numerous breaches of court orders which were imposed to protect her.”
