Nottinghamshire man jailed over attack on woman and other offences
A Nottinghamshire man has been jailed for a total of 17 weeks for a raft of offences, including going equipped for burglary, possession of drugs and assaulting a woman.
Mark Anthony Morris, 30, of Stuart Road, Carlton in Lindrick, appeared before Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on May 14.
He admitted going equipped in Bircotes on November 11 last year, and also being in possession of amphetamine and cannabis at the same time.
He also admitted failing to surrender to custody in January after he was bailed for these offences.

He also admitted beating the woman in Harworth, Nottinghamshire, on March 17, as well as harassing her, behaving in a threatening manner towards another woman and damaging a window.
Aside from the prison sentence, Magistrates also ruled that Morris must pay £200 in compensation, £122 victim surcharge and £85 in prosecution costs. A restraining order was also imposed.
