The 29-year-old tried to hide from officers from the Ashfield Operation Reacher and Kirkby Neighbourhood Policing teams at a property in the village before being arrested for driving without a licence, no insurance and while unfit through drugs on Monday (April 26).

He then failed to provide a blood sample for analysis when he was taken into custody.

“As such, he was charged with failing to provide, no licence and no insurance and now has a day in court,” said a spokesman on Ashfield Police’s Facebook page.
