Motorbikes and a BMW seized by police in Sutton after residents caught riding on pavements

A number of vehicles were seized by officers on patrol in Sutton yesterday after motorists were caught without insurance and riding along footpaths.

Police from the Sutton Neighbourhood Safer Neighbourhood Team recovered a BMW in the town on February 19 after the driver of the vehicle was found to have no valid insurance.

While carrying out patrols, officers also caught two people riding their motorbikes along a footpath and their off-road vehicles were taken away.

One social media user commended the force, writing: “Good work.

"Sick and tired of seeing and hearing idiots riding off road bikes in the woods, public parks and pulling wheelies down the road.”

While another person said: “Follow the rules and you won't have your toys taken away.”
