PCSO Richard Dunn, who is leading the investigation, said: “The piece of equipment was behind a locked gate.

“The lock has been cut and the bowser has been removed.

“Unfortunately nobody saw or heard the machinery being taken and officers have checked local CCTV footage in the area with no result.

“I would expect stealing something so big would have taken a lot of effort, so the hope is that by putting out this appeal it might encourage someone to get in touch with us.

“If you recognise the machinery pictured, please call 101, quoting incident number 99 of July 21.”
