Officers stormed the home in Marples Avenue at 7.20pm on Tuesday, July 6, and found the 15 weapons in a garage along with equipment to convert them into live-firing handguns, Nottinghamshire Police have revealed.

Detective Inspector Tim Walters said: “This represents a really significant triumph in our fight against gun crime.

"Typically, 15-20 illegally held firearms are seized across the region in any year period – to seize 15 in a single raid is fantastic news.".
