Mansfield woman who bit and hit cops on three occasions 'not making their jobs any easier'
A young Mansfield woman who bit and hit police officers as she was being arrested on three separate occasions recognises she’s not making their jobs any easier, a court has heard.
Minnie Jarrett headbutted and kicked a police car window after she was arrested for smashing windows on January 1, said Alexander Staddon, prosecuting.
She was taken out and restrained until she calmed down but then tried to bite the back of an officer's hand.
She was taken to hospital where she banged her head on a window and bit the left hand of an officer who tried to pull her away.

Jarrett, aged 20, was on bail for that offence when she was arrested again, and injured in the process, on February 22.
After refusing treatment at hospital she was taken to the police station where she hit an officer who blocked her when she tried to leave the cell.
Jarrett finally bit an officer on the left forearm when she was arrested following a domestic incident on June 12.
“She doesn't harbour any ill will to the police and recognises that they are only doing their job and sometimes people, including herself, don't make that easy,” her solicitor said.
“She has struggled with her mental health and much of that is drink-related,” she added. “She has stopped drinking since the summer and is now working in a warehouse.”
Jarrett, of Sherwood Street, Warsop, admitted four counts of assaulting emergency workers when she appeared at Mansfield Magistrates Court.
On Thursday she received a 12-month community order with a 120-day alcohol abstinence order and 12 rehabilitation days.
She must pay £199 costs and £200 compensation.
