Mansfield Town CEO Carolyn Radford victim of armed robbery in Portugal

The CEO of Mansfield Town FC Carolyn Radford has been the victim of an armed robbery in the Algarve.

Speaking on Instagram Carolyn, who has three children, described the terrifying moment on Tuesday morning, when she was robbed returning home after the school run.

A tearful Carolyn said: “Two men on a motorcycle pulled me over and armed robbed me, they were dressed as police officers, they attacked me and stole my jewellery.

"Thank God the kids were not in the car with me, I just want to make people aware this is happening here in the Algarve.

The glamorous 38-year-old businesswoman swapped her Nottinghamshire mansion shared with her husband and Mansfield Town FC owner John Radford for a modern villa in the Algarve this year. She is only one of two female CEOs in professional football.
