It is alleged that the 26-year-old killed the toddler by scalding her to death at her home in Wharmsby Avenue and then waiting for an hour before taking the lifeless infant to her parents home in the same street.

On Friday, Nottingham Crown Court heard about paramedics’ and relatives’ frantic bids to save the child.

Crowder denies murder.
