Mansfield man wielded two knives while chasing ex-partner and shouting racist abuse as kids walked to school
A Mansfield man who wielded two knives while chasing his girlfriend and shouting racist abuse as children walked to school was on bail for attempted robbery at the time.
Dylan O'Neil kicked a door down and called the woman "a Jezebel" before shoving her because she didn't want to celebrate her birthday with him at 8.25am on January 20 this year.
Megan Morrison, prosecuting, said the dad-of-two grabbed knives from the kitchen and chased her out of her Howard Street home while shouting and screaming angrily.
O’Neil, who believed some of the neighbours were Romanian, shouted: “You foreign b******, you're all p******, this is England."

Nottingham Crown Court heard they were very near All Saints’ primary school and the road was busy with pupils.
At the time O’Neil was on bail for an attempted robbery which took place on January 11 last year, Ms Morrison added.
When a 14-year-old rode past him and his accomplice, Lee Morris, on Stockwell Gate, O’Neil shouted: “Oi! That’s my bike.”
They followed him to the Four Seasons Shopping Centre where Morris accused the boy of stealing the bike.

When their victim tried to explain it was his, O'Neil said: "Drop the bike and walk away or I will stab you."
He also threatened the boy’s uncle when he appeared with his three children, but when it became clear he wasn't going anywhere, the pair fled.
In a statement their victim described being scared and said it took three months for him to feel normal again.
The court heard O’Neil has previous convictions for 19 offences and, at the time, was serving a community order for battery.
David Watts, mitigating, said O'Neil was taken into care at age 11, and "has never really resolved his experience there."
His "poor emotional regulation" means he "explodes with anger," and he must resolve his issues or face "a revolving door to custody."
"He knows he needs to change but at the moment he lacks the life skills and ability to do that," he added.
Lauren Manuel said Morris hasn't committed any further offences and has shown “real remorse and genuine shame”.
"He was deeply upset to learn his victim was only 14-years-old," she added.
O'Neil, aged 21, of Manor Road, Mansfield Woodhouse, admitted possessing blades, racially aggravated harassment, and common assault on January 28. He and Morris, 22, of Fitzherbert Street, Warsop, admitted attempted robbery on November 5.
On Tuesday Judge Stuart Rafferty handed Morris a 12 month sentence, suspended for two years, with 30 rehabilitation days and a mental health treatment requirement. O’Neil was jailed for two years.
