Mansfield man who groped underage girl in town centre pub could face prison

A Mansfield man who groped an underage girl six times in a town centre pub has been told he could face prison.

Christian Parker called the teenager "gorgeous" and "beautiful" before touching her three times on her bottom, twice on her thigh, and once on her breast, on August 3 last year, said Sarah Angus, prosecuting.

The defendant, who has no previous convictions, was told the starting point for the offence is 26 weeks in prison and ranges between a high level community order and three years in prison.

He was ordered to sign the sex offenders register and a restraining order, banning him from contacting his victim, was imposed.

Parker, aged 50, of Ladybrook Lane, Mansfield, admitted three counts of sexual activity with an underage girl not reasonably believing she was aged 16 or over, and the touching was sexual, when he appeared at Mansfield Magistrates Court on Tuesday, April 7.

A probation report was ordered before he is sentenced on June 11.
