Mansfield man who denies attempted murder of boy remanded in custody

A 52-year-old Mansfield man who denies the attempted murder of a four-year-old boy, has been further remanded in custody until next March.

Steven Frogg, of Frederick Street, appeared before Nottingham Crown Court on Thursday for the progress of his case to be monitored.

He has already pleaded not guilty to attempting to murder the child on 9th April.

The boy was found with stab wounds on Frederick Street about 1.30pm.

Frogg had been due to go on trial on 22nd October, but the hearing was put back.

He will next appear in court on 15th March and Judge Michael Stokes, the Recorder of Nottingham, fixed the rearranged trial date for 10th June.
