Mclaren Holt attended the woman’s home on September 18 last year and bombarded her with abusive texts and voicemails over the following days, records for Nottingham Magistrates’ Court show.

Holt, 22, of no fixed address, also admitted committing the offence while subject to a suspended sentence for failing to surrender to custody, imposed by magistrates earlier in September last year.

He was given a further eight-week prison term, suspended for 12 months, and ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs and a £122 victim surcharge.

Holt wasn’t jailed because he had worked well with the Probation Service following the imposition of the first suspended sentence.

Magistrates also issued a restraining order, banning Holt from contacting the woman, other than via the Family Court, Social Services or a solicitor to arrange child contact, until January 230, 2022.
