Mansfield man charged in connection with burglary

A 20-year-old Mansfield man is due to appear in court later this month following a report that a man had stolen the keys to a flat and taken various items from inside.

Davices Anderson, of Tideswell Court in the town, was arrested on suspicion of burglary within minutes of the incident which happened at around 4.30am on Saturday.

Nottinghamshire Police say various items had been taken including two coats, some tools, a designer bag and alcohol.

Anderson was subsequently charged and has been remanded to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on March 22.

Det Sgt Gary Hewson, said: "Response teams were immediately on scene and made an arrest within minutes.

"This was followed up by my team in the criminal investigation department who carried out thorough enquiries and resulted in Anderson being remanded to face the court process.

"Burglaries are taken extremely seriously and we will always do everything we can to establish who might be behind these crimes.”
