Mansfield man charged after ATM raids across Nottinghamshire

A Mansfield man has been charged with three counts of criminal damage to an ATM machine and a theft from a cash point.

Nottinghamshire Police arrested the 28-year-old man following a series of raids on ATM's across the county.

Georgian Mirciu of Yorke Street, Mansfield, will be appearing at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court on June 12.

The charges relate to four incidents in February and March 2020 including at ATM’s at Sainsbury’s in Daybrook, a Lloyd’s bank in Eastwood and an Asda in Ollerton.

Detective Sergeant David Prest said: "Nottinghamshire Police has worked tirelessly for many months to track down a man in connection with these incidents.

"We are happy to have made this arrest and now charge, but our work is still very much ongoing.

"Please continue to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity as we remain committed to tackling these crimes."
