Mansfield bill-dodger stole wallet

A Mansfield man tried to dodge a food bill after stealing a wallet, a court heard.

Andrew Maxfield, 48, of Littleworth, admitted theft and fraud at Nottingham Magistrates Court on March 4.

He stole a wallet containing cash and bank cards on March 11, 2019, and tried to evade the bill after ordering food two days later.

He was on a suspended sentence for benefit fraud and missed court on December 31.

He was ordered to pay £215 in fines and costs.
