In the latest incident, two unidentified men launched a catapult at the shop windows, leaving shattered glass everywhere.

Scott Treacy, 39, has been swamped with offers of support from customers after he shared CCTV footage of the attack on February 8.

The post which has over 1,000 shares on Facebook documents the fourth attack on the shop since it moved to Nottingham Road in August 2018.

New customers and loyal clients have commented promising to visit Moon's for their next haircut and others have offered to set up a donation page to raise money for some steel shutters.

Despite the business owner having spent over £3,500 to repair the windows, the barber's is still busy with appointments.

"We are still busy, we are getting more business from the damage to be honest as people want to show their support,” Scott said.

"Workmen are offering to fit out windows for free and it's been quite overwhelming how much attention and kind messages the video has got.

"You feel supported, the community is speaking and showing that they want to show their support."

Scott is currently recruiting a new barber to keep up with the demand.

But the emotional pressure of having bricks thrown at the shop, boarding up the damage and still opening up for business everyday is taking its toll.

"It's a stressful thing to keep replacing the windows,” he said.

"There are things we are constantly guessing like whether we can have plastic glass but then they could just throw paint at it instead.

"It's having to think about stuff like this and running a business, it takes a lot to carry on.

"I worry about what they might do next and what they are capable of when I'm working late and in the shop on my own I can feel quite unsafe."

The 39-year-old started Moon's back in 2015, with two smaller sites on Elm Tree Street and West Hill Drive.

"I never had any trouble there but since moving here we had paint thrown at our windows before we had even opened.

"It smashed the glass and paint was poured all over the shop, we weren't even open but all our stuff was there."

After the shop was attacked a second time in September of last year, Scott installed CCTV at the front and back of the building to deter criminals.

"All I want is for it to stop and come to an end.

"I don't care about revenge, I just want to be able to have the windows fitted again so people can see in and come and visit us.”
