A man has been taken to hospital after a car smashed into a wall in Glapwell.

Police were called at around 1pm today (Tuesday, July 21) to reports of a Ford Kuga colliding with a wall on Glapwell Hill.

The driver was rescued from the vehicle and taken to hospital as a precaution, Derbyshire Police confirmed.

Motorists were told to expect delays as officers blocked off the road and recovered the vehicle.

The road has since reopened with traffic flowing as normal.
