Man quizzed by cops after shotgun fired at car in Worksop

A man is in custody after a shotgun was ‘fired at a car’ in Worksop.

Police were called to Kingston Road at around 11.40am on Tuesday, June 23 after a car was reported to have been shot at.

A 43-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident in Mansfield yesterday (Sunday, June 28).

No one was injured confirmed Nottinghamshire Police, who are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Detective Sergeant Mark Shaw said: “We have been making a number of enquiries into the incident and are pleased to have made an arrest.

“We are now questioning the man in connection with the report of the gunshot as part of our investigation into the incident.

“Nottinghamshire Police takes reports of firearms offences very seriously and will always investigate reports thoroughly in order to find those responsible for committing such offences.
