Man left traumatised after £100,000 Tesla car is "firebombed" outside his home

The company car owned by David Redfern managing director of Papplewick based DSR Tax claims was completely destroyed in an arson attack in Somercotes.
David says he is determined to find the culprit of the attack which happened last Saturday.

Hide AdHe said the The Model S was deliberately set on fire outside the house of one of his employees on Birchwood Crescent.
He said: “My employee has been traumatised by this and is scared it could happen again. He heard an explosion and saw the car go up in flames .
“It looks like someone rolled a petrol bomb underneath it .
He has since replaced the high end battery driven car, one of nine for each of his employees.
He added: "My concern is not the money, but the safety of my staff and we need to stick together through this. It's just not acceptable.

Hide Ad"It's just pure jealousy that's caused this, and I don't feel this professional young man who has worked so hard deserves to be victimised.”
A spokesman for Derbyshire Constabulary said: "An investigation is ongoing into a suspected arson attack on January 11, at around 6pm.
"No cause for the fire has been determined and there were no injuries reported.
"The car that was targeted was a Tesla Model S."
