Man jailed for drug offences after incident in Langwith Junction

A man has been jailed for possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs after an incident in Langwith Junction.

Ryan Peter Smith, 28, of Hipper Street West, Chesterfield, was sentenced to two years imprisonment each for two counts of possession with intent to supply the class A drug MDMA, with one sentence to be served consecutively and one to be served concurrently.

He was also jailed for ten months for possession with intent to supply a Class B drug, which will also be served concurrently.

Smith was arrested by officers following an incident in the Burlington Avenue area of Langwith Junction in August 2017.

The sentenced was passed on Wednesday, November 21 following a trial at Derby Crown Court.
