Man charged over attempted Eastwood robbery

A 22-year-old has been charged after a reports a man and a woman were threatened whilst in their car.

Jayden Anderson, of Wilson Road, Eastwood, has been charged with attempted robbery following the incident. He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Friday January, 15 and has been remanded in custody.

It follows reports a man and a woman, who had taken their dogs to the vets, were approached and threatened in their car in Nottingham Road, Eastwood, just before 6.50pm on Tuesday January, 12.

Detective Sergeant Gary Hewson, from the force's burglary team, is investigating and said: "We continue our enquiries and welcome any information which could help us with our investigation.

"Robbery can be hugely frightening for those affected and we want to reassure people we take any such reports extremely seriously and we will investigate thoroughly.”

Anderson is next due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 12 February 2021.
