Officers found the van parked up on Pennine Close and two men, aged 44 and 45, were arrested on suspicion of theft.

All packages were accounted for – but a mobile phone was allegedly stolen.

Andrew James, 44, of no fixed address, has since been charged with theft from a vehicle and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court later this week.

The 45-year-old man will not face any further action by police.
