Man brandished knife at Forest Town dog walker and threatened to kill animal

A dog walker endured a “horrible incident” when a man brandished a knife and threatened to kill his animal in Forest Town.

According to police, the knife man said: 'put your dog on a lead otherwise I'll kill it,’ during the incident on Thursday afternoon.

Nottinghamshire Police were called at around 16.40pm, to Old Mill Lane. The victim rang them straight away, but when officers quickly attended, the man couldn’t be found.

Sergeant Matt Dumbrell leading the investigation said: "This was quite a horrible incident, thankfully no one was injured.

"We were called at around 16.40pm, on Thursday, to Old Mill Lane, Forest Town after a report of a man with a knife threatening a dog walker's dog, before walking off.

"The man has been described as white, around 30-years-old, wearing an olive green waterproof on with his hood up and a scarf around his face.

Police are now appealing for help with the enquiry. Call 101, quoting incident number 682 of October 1, 2020.
