Man bailed after stealing and crashing tractor into wall near Nottinghamshire homes

A man has been bailed after stealing a tractor and crashing it into a wall in Nottinghamshire.

The tractor was taken from a nearby farm and driven to Princes Street, Eastwood at around 2.24am.

A witness saw the tractor colliding with a wall close to a property, completely destroying it, and damaging a nearby lamppost.

Following this the driver, a 35-year-old man, attempted to drive off.

Officers arrived on the scene within ten minutes and arrested the man for aggravated vehicle taking.

He has been released on bail.
