Man arrested on suspicion of murder after death of Nottingham Trent student

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a Nottingham Trent University student.

Arjun Singh, 20, died after being assaulted on Saturday, January 18.

Detectives are questioning a 20-year-old man after the incident in Long Row, Nottingham just before 4am.

Arjun, a student at Nottingham Trent University, was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre but died yesterday (Sunday, January 19).

Detective Inspector Richard Monk, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "A team of detectives has been working tirelessly on the investigation and a man is now in custody being questioned on suspicion of murder.

"We still want to hear from witnesses, people with video footage and anyone with information about the incident.
