A man has been arrested in connection with the robbery in Wood Street, Mansfield, earlier this week which left a man in hospital and the road closed for several hours.
The 21-year-old Mansfield man is currently in custody and is being interviewed by detectives.
The incident happened at 6am on Wednesday when a man, who was pushing his motorbike due to a puncture, was approached by two men who assaulted him and took his work bag.
The men made off through the grounds of the nearby Beacon Project, also in Wood Street, where they discarded personal items from the victim’s bag. These items have been recovered by police.
The victim was taken to King’s Mill Hospital with facial injuries and has now been released.
Wood Street was closed following the incident while police enquiries were carried out.
