Man arrested on suspicion of burglary and drug driving in Ashfield

Broxtowe response officers stopped a car in Woodhouse Way, Kirkby, at around 2am this morning (Wednesday, July 21) and arrested a man after conducting a road-side drug swipe.
In custody, he was further arrested on suspicion of a burglary as a result of an investigation in to a shop burglary where £600 worth of alcohol and cigarettes were reportedly stolen.

Hide AdA bathroom window of a flat above the store in Mansfield Road, Sutton, was smashed overnight.
The owner made the discovery when she returned there at around 7am on May 17.
Detective Sergeant Andy Hall of Nottinghamshire's dedicated burglary team said: "We have been carrying out robust enquiries since this incident happened.
"This, coupled with the work conducted by our eagle-eyed response colleagues, has resulted in a man being arrested in connection with it.

"To be victim to an incident like this can be extremely distressing and we won't tolerate these crimes in Nottinghamshire.
"This case also highlights that the force is proactively targeting dangerous drivers on our roads.”
